It appears reports of Greta Van Fleet's demise have been greatly exaggerated.
The "Highway Tune" rockers have shared a video of themselves jamming together in the studio alongside the caption, "We're back, baby!"
The clip is surely a relief for fans after Greta posted a mysterious video earlier in the week called "Thanks for the Wild Ride" featuring archival footage from throughout the band's history. Given the title and reflective nature of the video, some fans were worried that it meant GVF was breaking up.
Now, though, it seems that whole thing was an elaborate tease, and new Greta Van Fleet music is on the way.
The most recent Greta Van Fleet album is 2023's Starcatcher.
The track has nothing to do with the musical Little Shop of Horrors, and instead finds the "Lydia" rockers commenting on the the Israel-Gaza war.
"Big Shop of Horrors" marks the third new Highly Suspect single of 2026, following "Yellow Roses" and "Wasted." The band's most recent album is 2024's As Above, So Below.
Highly Suspect will launch a U.S. headlining tour May 17 in Madison, Wisconsin.

Dogstar has premiered a new song called "This Sphere," a track off the Keanu Reeves-featuring band's upcoming album, All in Now.
"The music just had that rolling rhythm, and I didn't want to distract from that," frontman Bret Domrose says of "This Sphere." "So, I basically started playing what Keanu was playing because that's what the song wants – that pull, that rhythm. Then it opens up in the chorus and gives you a break."
"It’s a fun ride, that song. Very fun," Reeves adds.
You can watch the video for "This Sphere" streaming now on YouTube.
All in Now is due out May 29. It's the follow-up to 2023's Somewhere Between the Power Lines and Palm Trees, which marked the first Dogstar album in over 20 years.
Dogstar will launch a U.S. headlining tour in August.

Weezer premiered a new song called "Shine Again" in April, marking their first fresh material in four years. It's the first single off an upcoming new Weezer album, the title and release date for which have yet to be announced.
Weezer will launch a U.S. tour, dubbed The Gathering, in September. The bill also includes The Shins and Silversun Pickups.

The Oasis documentary has a theatrical premiere date and a streaming home.
The currently untitled film, which chronicles the "Wonderwall" band's massive 2025 reunion tour, will screen in IMAX and cinemas worldwide on Sept. 11. It will then come to Disney+ and Hulu later in 2026 in the U.S. and Disney+ internationally.
Oasis' tour marked the band's first live shows in 16 years and officially ended the long-running and public feud between the formerly estranged brothers Liam Gallagher and Noel Gallagher. It included sold-out shows at stadiums around the world, including London's Wembley Stadium and MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
"I genuinely cannot wait for the world to see this film," says doc creator and producer Steven Knight in a statement. "I believe it captures the spirit and emotion of a global cultural moment and does justice to the wit and genius of two exceptional people."
"I wanted to tell the story of the brothers and the band, but just as important, the story of the fans whose lives the music has touched and sometimes changed forever," Knight continues. "It is also the story of how music and songwriting can unite generations, cultures, countries and in a time of spite and division, give us all some reason to hope."
Meanwhile, Oasis will be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as part of its 2026 class. The induction ceremony will take place Nov. 14 in Los Angeles and will air on ABC and Disney+ in December.
Disney is the parent company of Hulu and ABC News.

Slipknot percussionist Shawn "Clown" Crahan has shared in an interview with producer Rick Rubin's Tetragrammaton podcast that he needs to undergo heart surgery.
"I have a skipping heart and I got to get a surgery," Clown, 56, tells Rubin. "I found this out after my last tour."
Clown says that when he went to see a doctor, "They thought I was having a heart attack right there."
"I'll go from 'on' to just straight up, I feel like I'm dying," he says. "So I got to get a surgery."
Clown adds that the operation is a "very easy surgery" and that "you're usually out on the same day." He also says that at first he thought he might have to get a pacemaker, which made him worried that he wouldn't be able to continue to tour.
"[The doctor] goes, 'Oh, no, you're going to feel better,'" Clown says.
Muse has premiered the video for "Cryogen," a track off the band's upcoming album, The Wow! Signal.
The clip finds Matt Bellamy and company performing on ice in front of what appears to be a waterfall of blood. It's a fitting setting for a song that mentions the icy Jupiter moon of Europa in between Bellamy declaring, "Cryogen, I'm freezing over."
You can watch the "Cryogen" video streaming now on YouTube.
The Wow! Signal, the follow-up to 2022's Will of the People, is due out June 26. It also includes the singles "Unravelling" and "Be with You."
Beastie Boys member Michael "Mike D" Diamond has released his debut solo single.
The track is called "Switch Up." It's available now via digital outlets, and you can watch its accompanying visualizer streaming now on YouTube.
"I know we are not putting anybody into space and there are a lot of huge problems in our world right now and I didn't realize this was a big deal to me until I woke up today and was like 's***. Switch Up comes out tonight,'" Mike writes in an Instagram post. "Hoping it brings some happiness for all y'all."
The song premiere follows Mike's announcement of a run of four solo shows in Los Angeles and New York City, the first of which took place Thursday in LA. All of the dates are sold out.
Beastie Boys disbanded in 2012 following the death of Adam "MCA" Yauch.
"Stadium Arcadium' album artwork. (Warner Records)
Hey, oh, Stadium Arcadium is 20 years old.
The hit ninth studio effort from Red Hot Chili Peppers was released on May 9, 2006 — 20 years ago Saturday. The 28-track double album gave RHCP their first-ever #1 record on the Billboard 200 and is certified four-times Platinum by the RIAA.
The song "Dani California" was released as Stadium Arcadium's lead single, and was accompanied by a video featuring Anthony Kiedis and company cosplaying as different rock bands from throughout history. While it may bear a resemblance to Tom Petty's "Mary Jane's Last Dance," "Dani California" was a huge hit, reaching #6 on the Billboard Hot 100. That was the last time the Peppers have been in the top 10 of the all-genre chart.
Stadium Arcadium also spawned singles in "Snow (Hey Oh)" and "Tell Me Baby." It won best rock album at the 2007 Grammys and was nominated for album of the year.
In 2009, guitarist John Frusciante announced he was leaving the Peppers and was replaced by Josh Klinghoffer. Stadium Arcadium remained the last RHCP album to feature Frusciante until his return to the band in 2019, and the release of 2022's Unlimited Love and Return of the Dream Canteen.
Andy Biersack of Black Veil Brides performs at Michigan Lottery Amphitheatre on July 03, 2025 in Sterling Heights, Michigan. (Scott Legato/Getty Images)
He may not have six NBA championships, but Andy Biersack has something else in common with Michael Jordan.
Much like the Chicago Bulls icon took it personally, Biersack has been fueled by the pursuit of vengeance throughout his life, which he pours into the aptly titled new Black Veil Brides album, VINDICATE.
"There's a sort of futility to revenge, and yet, I'm still deeply motivated by it all the time," Biersack tells ABC Audio. "So I wanted the record to feel like that journey."
Black Veil sets the scene for that journey with VINDICATE's opening track, "Invocation to the Muse," a spoken-word piece that Biersack describes as "This speech of, like, f*** your detractors, everybody sucks, blah blah blah."
"Then by the time you get the end of the record with [the closing song] 'Eschaton,' I'm very sort of wistfully and woefully singing about, like, maybe it wasn't worth it spending my whole life focused on revenge," he says.
VINDICATE reflects those themes musically as the last note of "Eschaton" matches the first note of "Invocation to the Muse."
"The idea is that it's a cycle," Biersack says. "If the record were to loop back around you'd start back up with me giving the crazy, like, kill all of your enemies speech at the beginning."
Biersack acknowledges that he's been unable to break that cycle in his own life, though he aspires to one day do just that as he sings "Life is never won" in "Eschaton."
"I don't listen to it ever," he says. "I constantly live my life thinking I can win. But I have to remind myself from time to time that that's not actually what we're doing here."
VINDICATE is out now. Black Veil Brides are currently on a U.S. tour.
Mötley Crüe will be joined by Carrie Underwood for their performance on the upcoming season finale of American Idol.
The former American Idol winner is a noted rock fan and previously covered the Crüe song "Home Sweet Home" to be used as the show's season 8 farewell song.
While that means they'll probably be playing "Home Sweet Home" together, we're holding out hope for a mash-up called "Jesus, Take the Feel(good)."
The American Idol finale will air May 11 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC. It will stream the next day on Hulu and Disney+.
As previously reported, the episode will also feature performance from Shinedown, Blues Traveler and Gin Blossoms, among others.
Disney is the parent company of ABC News and Hulu.

The Greta Van Fleet plot thickens.
As previously reported, the "Highway Tune" rockers posted a video earlier in the week titled "Thanks for the Wild Ride," which featured throwback footage from throughout the band's career. Given the title and reflective nature of the video, some fans were worried that GVF was calling it quits, though others thought it could be an elaborate tease for new music to follow their most recent album, 2023's Starcatcher.
Now, there's a new hint posted in the form of a video on Greta's Instagram Story, featuring a shot of guitarist Jake Kiszka opening a case and strumming an acoustic guitar. The clip is subtitled, "The trouble's begun."

L7 was originally active from 1985 to 2001. They put out six studio albums during their original run, including 1992's Bricks Are Heavy.
In 2014, the lineup of vocalist Donita Sparks, guitarist Suzi Gardner, bassist Jennifer Finch and drummer Demetra Plakas reunited, and they put out another album, Scatter the Rats, in 2019. They also released a documentary called L7: Pretend We're Dead.
"When L7 decided to release a documentary in 2015, we thought maybe we would take one last victory lap around the sun by playing some shows," Sparks says in a statement. "Instead, that lap turned into eleven more years of touring, sweat, new music, and reconnecting with the fans who made this all possible in the first place."
She continues, "Looking out into the crowd seeing longtime supporters rocking out next to a new generation of L7 fans has been the most powerful and humbling part of this chapter. We are deeply grateful and ready to give our audiences one last, loud, fun, and hopefully unforgettable night of rock & roll."
Black Veil Brides have premiered a new song called "Cut," a track off the band's upcoming album, VINDICATE.
"Cut" features Lilith Czar, who's married to BVB frontman Andy Biersack. Both are featured in the song's accompanying video, which is described as a "live-action retelling" of the movie Corpse Bride.
"'Cut' is a song that for me, is one of those songs in your catalog that feels like you were able to achieve exactly what you wanted to achieve when making it," Biersack says in a statement. "I feel like Lillith's voice and presence on this song is absolutely perfect."
He continues, "On the lyrical side, just knowing how much the concepts resonate with both me and Lilith makes it all the more special and then to get to shoot this incredible video together it just feels like a career highlight all around. It's one of my favorite songs we've ever done."
VINDICATE, the seventh Black Veil album and the follow-up to 2021's The Phantom Tomorrow, drops Friday. It also includes the previously released songs "Certainty," "Bleeders," "Hallelujah," "Revenger" and the title track.

Poppy is performing at the 2026 Welcome to Rockville festival, which kicks off Thursday in Daytona Beach, Florida. While fans of the "new way out" artist are familiar with her penchant for switching from screaming and crushing riffs to sugary pop, the nature of festivals means she may find herself performing in front of crowds that may not know her music.
"I think maybe if you're new to my music and to Poppy, there might be a bit of questioning and uncertainty," Poppy tells ABC Audio.
Still, Poppy is confident she can convert an unknowing audience into fans, judging from her past festival experiences.
"By the end, when we can get them jumping, I feel like we've accomplished something," she says.
After her Welcome to Rockville set, Poppy will launch a full U.S. headlining tour in July in support of her new album, Empty Hands. While those crowds will surely be filled with dedicated Poppy fans, if you're still unsure of what to expect, Poppy's got you covered.
"Nice outfits, loud music, guitars, breakdowns, smiling faces," she says. "That's what you're in for."

The instrumental Even in Arcadia will also be released on vinyl on Aug. 7 and is available to preorder now.
The original Even in Arcadia debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200. Sleep Token's U.S. arena tour in support of the album sold out.
